The members of Aristoteleio university did a research for the retirees. The retirees which danced had a lot of health benefits.
Mister Zacharias Vordos explained that greek dances may do rehabilitation programs more attractive than ever, because the frequency of monitoring was 90%.
40 elderly people suffered from heart failure. After dancing, they managed to jump higher than their peers. Their legs became strong and they could walk faster!!
They were practising 3 times per week from 45 to 60 seconds. During the lessons,the Investigators counted their performance and they concluded that elderly people who were dancing greek dances had stronger legs (+10%) and jumped higher (+10%) than the other elderly people. They were more faster too (6%).
