Cha Cha Cha: Smell Of Cuba. Flirting With Life

Cha-cha-cha, , is the name of a dance of Cuban origin It is danced to the music of the same name introduced by the Cuban composer and violinist Enrique Jorrín in 1953. He was actually born from Mambo. In Mambo’s music there was a distinct beat on which people began to dance and this step was called “Triple Mambo”.

In 1954 it evolved into a different kind of dance called Cha cha It is said to have taken its name from the sound the feet make in the chasse (triple gait) present in most steps.
