Quickstep: 'Quick Steps'

The Quickstep originated from a combination of the Foxtrot and the Charleston which were popular international dances in the 20’s.

Bands of that time started playing Foxtrot music at a very fast tempo and it eventually evolved into two different dances.

It is important that the movement is very dynamic in the space, but that the steps remain light.

Quickstep requires perfect synchronization of the two dancers, as they must have the same tension in their legs.

Quickstep is one of the most charming and beloved ballroom dances.

It is fast, with sharp and intense body movements but at the same time keeps the lightness of European dances.
