Samba

“Samba: Overflowing Energy”.

Samba remains to this day the most popular dance in Brazil and is particularly known for her lively rhythm and erotic dance expression.

Samba as a dance appeared in Brazil in the 17th century by African slaves who were brought there and accompanied their religious ceremonies with Samba music.

The European settler, however, forced Christianity on slaves and punished any other kind of adoration with death.

In order to keep their religion alive, slaves “disguised” their religious ceremonies at dance parties, where they gathered and danced in praise of their god to the music of Samba

It has been described as a dance of fun, carnival and champagne!
