Waltz

Waltz

Waltz is the base of many modern dances around the world. It is a romantic dance with gentle and circular movements of the couple.

Waltz began in southern Germany in the 17th century.

The different between Viennese waltz is not only in the difference in rhythm, but also in the figures themselves, which in slow waltz are simpler.

Waltz’s characteristic movements are the up and down of the body and the sway of the whole body with grace and elegance.

It is the first dance that the cavalier embraces the waist of the queen and the distance of the bodies becomes zero.

The couple functions like one body.

Despite strong reactions from society to the boldness of this new dance, waltz quickly became popular.

At the same speed as society was changing, it was loved and spread throughout Europe.

It is about the dance of balance and softness!
